Point of Sale (POS) Register

The WMS Biz Point of Sale (POS) register is a high-speed, touchscreen-optimized front-counter till interface. It synchronizes sales transactions directly with your warehouse inventory, customer CRM profiles, and financial audit logs.

Cashier PIN Login Security

To ensure accountability and secure the cash drawer, the POS register enforces operator-level authentication:

  1. Forced PIN Screen: When first opening an active POS till session, a full-screen keypad PIN prompt is displayed.
  2. Profile Selection: Cashiers select their staff profile name from the dropdown list.
  3. PIN Authentication: Enter the cashier's 4-digit security PIN on the numerical keypad.
  4. Access Control: Once authenticated, the register layout unlocks. If the terminal is left idle or a cashier shift ends, cashiers can quickly log out to re-lock the screen for the next operator.

Catalog Display Options

WMS Biz POS offers two display styles to match the size and complexity of your catalog:

  • Flat View: Displays all products in the selected category in a single grid layout. Best for smaller product selections.
  • Nested View: Organizes products recursively using your product category hierarchy (folders).
    • Tap on a category tile (e.g. Beverages) to open it and view its subcategories (e.g. Hot Drinks, Cold Drinks) and direct products.
    • An interactive breadcrumb path at the top lets you easily navigate back up the tree folder coordinates.
    • Tap Flat View / Nested View toggles on the catalog header to switch display modes on the fly.

Silent & Automatic Windows Spool Printing

You can configure WMS Biz to route thermal customer receipts and kitchen order tickets directly to specific Windows printers without showing browser print previews:

1. Driver and Printer Setup

Ensure your thermal till printers (e.g. 80mm Star Micronics, Epson TM, or kitchen network printers) are installed and named correctly in Windows Settings.

2. Printer Mappings

  1. Navigate to Settings in the main sidebar.
  2. Select the POS Settings section.
  3. Set your printing routes:
    • POS Receipt Printer (Windows): Select the local/network printer name for checkout receipts.
    • POS Kitchen Printer (Windows): Select the printer name for food/drink dispatch tickets.
  4. Save the settings.

3. Silent Print Spooling

  • When a retail transaction is completed at the POS till, WMS Biz automatically spools a monospaced format receipt to the mapped receipt printer.
  • In Cafe/Restaurant POS mode, submitting a table order will automatically trigger and print kitchen dispatch slips with items, tables, and modifications, ensuring silent, instantaneous routing directly through the Windows spooler.
